The upcoming Renault Sports Track Day on Thursday, 10th November 2011 will be the first Renault Sport sponsored event in Malaysia and most likely South East Asia. The core organizers of this event is no other than TC Euro the sole distributor of the Renault marque of cars. This should be an interesting track day as the new Megane RS250 owners from across west Malaysia shall be participating in the event – with participants from the JPM Megane Cup also scheduled to be part of the turnout crowd!
Rumour has it that Denis Lian, from Singapore will also be attempting to break the Megane’s Sepang Lap time of 2:43.02. We shall see
Oh My! I totally forgot to update my blog especially to tell about this movie that has been out for quite a while now! I had been awaiting this show to be out for quite some time, especially judging from the trailers it looked to be quite an exciting one. Real Steel did not disappoint and was really worth watching, and I would definitely re-watch this movie!
I managed to catch this movie at TGV at the Curve, a bit further out than my regular cinema.
I would describe this movie to be like Rocky with a David vs. Goliath storyline mixed in with transformers. Hmm… interesting mix but definitely an exciting one. The show did not lack emotional moments and the fights as far as robots were concerned, adrenaline packed. The show managed to capture my attention throughout as the storyline progressed linearly without off-shooting to some obscure side-arcs.
This show is a re-watch!
Although this posting is a bit late than usual due to my busy schedules, on the 9th of October 2011, the Renault Sport boys (+1 girl) had a breakfast outing to Gohtong Jaya for their regular roti tampal. This drive was organized by TC Euro and the turnout was very good with even a few RS250′s from Langkawi who were the boys who are currently racing in the Malaysia Megane Cup race series, joining the local group.
We met up at the usual Esso/Mobil station at Taman Wahyu and made our way to the Petronas station just at the start of the Ulu Yam route.
The route was the regular route through Ulu Yam, and on the way we did encounter the Lotus club with their full lineup of Lotus cars taking to the hills. Unfortunately… I did not manage to take any pictures of them as they were enthusiastic as us, where some of our Megane’s started chasing them.
During our breakfast session, it was also announced that Malaysia will be starting its own Renault Sports Driver’s Club which we were all invited to join. The driver’s club is for automotive enthusiast and is not only limited to Renault Sports Owners and the club in the future will include drivers from Singapore as well. Looks like there is a lot more coming for the Renault Sport scene in Malaysia!
